Empowering Western Balkan Youth for a Greener Future
🌱 About the Project
The Empowering Western Balkan Youth for a Greener Future project is a regional initiative that equips young people from Albania, Montenegro, and North Macedonia with the tools, knowledge, and practical experience they need to lead the region’s green transformation.
We connect university students, recent graduates, and marginalized youth with opportunities in the renewable energy sector, especially solar energy. Through advocacy training, hands-on internships, intercultural exchanges, and community-led campaigns, this project promotes youth leadership, environmental responsibility, and regional cooperation.
🎯 Our Goals
👥 Who’s Involved
This project brings together youth from across the Western Balkans—students in environmental sciences, economics, engineering, and public administration, alongside unemployed or marginalized young people. Whether they’re policy-minded advocates or hands-on learners, all participants are united by a commitment to sustainable change.
Lead Partner: Friends of Korça Association (Albania)
Partner Organizations: SEGA (North Macedonia), Center for Sustainable Development (Montenegro), local universities, and solar energy companies.
